Slurpuff Pokemon Amigurumi Pattern

posted in: Free Amigurumi Patterns | 0

Here is the squishy pink fairy Pokemon, Slurpuff! It is oddly reminiscent of ice-cream and according to the Pokedex helps pastry chefs with their work. Cute enough to eat? Maybe! I hope you enjoy crocheting Slurpuff!

The completed Slurpuff Amigurumi stands approximately 7 inches from the bottom of the feet to the top of the ‘cherry,’ and 5 inches wide. This is a bit larger than the usual size of my Pokemon Amigurumi, but all the more puff to squish when you’re done!

Body

You will begin by making two leg pieces, which will be joined to form the base of the body. Using White:

R1. 6 Sc in MR (6)

R2. Inc around (12)

R3. ‘Sc 1, inc’ around (18)

R4. ‘Sc 2, inc’ around (24)

Pause here, F/o leaving a tail for closing the gap between the legs. Repeat above to make a second piece, then join to the first piece on the 5th sc away from where you finished off (meaning, leave 4 sc unworked between the two pieces):

R5. ‘Sc 3, inc’ around (50)

Sew the opening closed between the two leg pieces.

R6-8. Sc around (50) three times

R9. ‘Sc 8, dec’ around (45)

R6. Chain 10, skip over 15 sc on the base, Sc 15 (25)

For now, continue working in the round in the small circle created by this chain 10. Later you will return to the 15 sc that were skipped to create the other half of the hair.

R7. ‘Sc 3, dec’ around (20)

R8. Sc around (20)

R9. ‘Sc 2, dec’ around (15)

R10. Sc around (15)

R11. ‘Sc 1, dec’ around (10)

F/o, press the part of the work from R7-R11 flat and sew the end opening closed.

To make the other half of the hair: Make a Chain of 10, then join to the unworked/Skipped Sc’s of R6: Sc in the remaining 15 sc (25)

Repeat R7-R11 again. Similarly, press this part flat and sew the end opening closed.

Assembly of Crochet Slurpuff

Assemble as shown in pictures- be sure to pin limbs in place before sewing on so that the positioning can be adjusted as needed.

Slurpuff and Wafflecone Sundae

Sew the feet slightly to the insides of the legs. Spread the hair flat and attach to the top of the head. Although the sides of the hair were not stuffed, I did place a small amount of stuffing between the top of the head and the the hair.

Pull the scarf over the head and sew to the body. Attach the hairpuffs to the ends of the hair angled slightly forward. Note that after the hairpuffs are sewed on it is very difficult to pull the scarf over them – place the scarf first! Attach the arms to either side of the body below the hairpuffs. Sew the cherry onto the top of the head with stem angled to the front.

Facial details (eyes and nose) were added by needle felting loose yarn ends . The mouth was added by embroidery thread, and the tongue attached below the outer edge of the mouth. I also added a layer of light pink with needle felting to the circumference of the tongue for contrast.

The end! I hope you enjoy your amigurumi Slurpuff. She doesn’t look like the sharpest tool in the shed, but she’s cute, squishy, and a sweet pastry chef!

Make your Slurpuff some sweets! The ice cream sundae was inspired by this Coconut and Honey Icecream in a Waffle bowl pattern by Crochet CakeSachets and the crochet donuts are from Helloyellowyarn‘s pattern!
