Foongus Amigurumi Pattern

posted in: Free Amigurumi Patterns | 0

Hey, someone dropped a pokeball in the grass- oh wait, it’s a Foongus! Even though they look like Pokeballs… they’re not. They’re little Mushroom Fungi. Hm. I guess this is one of those natural adaptations that developed for ornateness rather than camouflage.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this Foongus pattern make and hide within your pokeball stash!

Materials

  • Yarn: red, white, black
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook – fiber-fill stuffing
  • Felt: pink (for nose), balck (for eyes)

At this point using black- surface crochet a line across the work over the seam between red and white. I did this twice to create a thick line. Continue crochet in the round with black:

R7. In back loops only: Sc around (24)

R8. In front loops only: Sl st around (24) F/o and weave in the black yarn.

Close the under-side of the mushroom cap as follows:
With white yarn, join onto the unworked (back) loops of R8:

R9. ‘Sc 2, dec’ around (18)

R10. ‘Sc 1, dec’ around (12)

R11. Dec around (6)

The opening does not need to be closed. Stuff well.

Assembly of Crochet Foongus

Facial details were added using needle felting and unwound yarn ends/yarn fibers.
