Yellow Rings
Make 4, yellow yarn; one larger ring for head)
The exact number of chains in the ring will depend on the thickness of yellow yarn you are using. With yellow: chain approximately 10 loops and slip stitch with the first chain to form a loop. Follow off. Either sew on the yellow ring to the top of each limb or glued on with fabric glue (I sewed mine.)
For the head ring: use a larger chain (approx 15) than was used for the arm loops and slip stitch with the first chain to form a loop. Continue on the next round, repeating ‘sc 2, inc’ around until you reach the end of the round. Follow off and again either sew on or glue onto forehead.
Felt Eyes – Cut out felt in the shape of the eyes and glue the pieces onto the head. Tip: fold the felt in half and cut out the shape over two pieces to ensure the shapes are the same size.
Assembly of Crochet Umbreon
It helps to pin parts in place before sewing together. Attach the ears to the head. Attach the small yellow rings to the ‘shoulder’ of each limb, and the larger yellow ring to the forehead. Attach the head, limbs, and tail to the body.
