Materials
- Yarn: Pink yarn (100% acrylic, medium 4)
- Red yarn (shiny, light 3 )
- 3.5 mm crochet hook – fiber-fill stuffing
- Embroidery thread/ sewing needle (mouth, eyes)
- Scissors, yarn needle for assembly
Abbreviations
R(#): Round number
MR: magic ring
Sc: single crochet
Inc: increase (2 sc in same stitch)
Dec: decrease (decrease 2 sc into one)
I recommend using Invisible Decrease
f/o: fasten off

Head and Body (pink)
Part 1:
R1. 6 Sc in MR (6)
R2. Inc around (12)
R3. Sc around (12) f/o
Part 2:
R1. 6 Sc in MR (6)
R2. Inc around (12)
R3. Sc around (12)
Now, continue the next round onto the piece made in part 1 (see pictures, it’s the same concept as crocheting the top of a heart):
R4. Sc 10, skip the remaining 2 sc on the first piece. Also skip 2 sc on the second piece in the center of the ‘head’ and sc 10 (20). Now the two top halves are joined together.
Sew the unworked sc’s (2 from each half) together. Continue on to make the rest of the body:
R5. ‘Sc 4, inc’ around (24)
R6. ‘Sc 3, inc’ around (30)
R7-9. Sc around (30) three times
R10. In inner loops only:
‘Sc 3, dec’ around (24)
R11. ‘Sc 1, dec’ around (16)
R12. Dec around (8). F/o, sew end closed.
Right Arm (Pink)
R1. 4 sc in MR (4)
R2. Inc, Sc 1, Inc, Sc 1 (6)
R3. Inc, Sc 3, inc, Sc 1 (8)
R4. Sc around (8) f/o
Stuff lightly.
Left Arm (Pink)
R1. 4 sc in MR (4)
R2. Inc, Sc 1, Inc, Sc 1 (6)
R3. Sc around (6) f/o
Heart (red)
R1. 4 sc in MR (4)
R2. Inc around (8)
R3. Sc around (8) f/o
Now make the other top half of the heart
R1. 4 sc in MR (4)
R2. Inc around (8)
R3. Sc around (8), Now, continue the next round on the first piece made:
R4. Sc 7, skip the remaining 1 sc on the first piece. Also skip 1 sc on the second piece in the center of the ‘heart’ and sc 7 (14) Now the two top halves are joined together.
Use the loose end from the first half to sew the unworked sc’s (1 from each half) together.
Continue on to make the rest of the heart:
R5. Sc around (14)
R6. ‘Sc 1, dec’ four times, Sc 2 (10)
R7. Dec around (5) Sew hole closed, f/o.
Assembly of Crochet Ditto
Attach the heart to the right arm. Attach arms to body and use embroidery to make the face. You are finished!
