The completed Sandslash amigurumi stands approximately 14.5 inches tall (to tip of spike) x 9 inches wide x 13 inches deep (tail to foot) and is the largest amigurumi I've ever designed.

Completion of this pattern requires several skills, and therefore I would highly recommend previous crocheting experience (at least moderate level.) Additional skills include: Color changes, understanding of crochet in front/back loops only, working in rows instead of rounds, 'other' stitch types (Hdc, Dc, Tc), embellishing edges with sl st, and needle felting for facial details. Time and patience are also a must, as this Sandslash is composed of 33 separate pieces.
